Nippon Steel’s proprietary connection (NSMAX-GR) and material (NT-95DE) for Large OD ERW Casing are AVAILABLE NOW!
Nippon Steel has developped proprietary connection for Large OD ERW Casing named NSMAXTM-GR.
NSMAXTM-GR is available on 18", 18-5/8" and 20" OD. This new connection provides Faster & Stable Running (lower risk of cress-threading and galling) and Reliable Seal Performance (100% VME Liquid + 2,000 psi Gas) through improved thread design.
NSMAXTM-GR has been already adopted by Norwegian customer and run successfully at the North Sea's offshore project.
NT-95DE is a proprietary Carbon Steel HF-ERW (High-Frequency Electric Resistance Welded) OCTG material.
This material provides superior impact toughness properties with YS ranging from 95 to 110 ksi and with a guaranteed min. wall thickness 92.5% of specified nominal WT. The high dimensional control & accuracy of wall thickness and outside diameter provide better drift-ability, internal yield pressure (burst) and collapse resistance.
NT-95DE is a cost effective alternative to API 5CT / ISO 11960 R95 seamless material.
